Yesterday, a big flock of snow geese landed on the fields just right behind London Heritage Farm and the amazing scene was captured in a photo by Mary Lou, our Administrator. The arrival of tens of thousands of snow geese in big crowds is a spectacular view of the nature but it can be quite destructive to our environment as they come hungry and feed themselves with the grass on lawns and fields they landed on. Not sure if they will find their way to London Heritage Farm in the coming days. If they do, our volunteers coming out for the Fall Clean Up on 19 October (Sunday) might find some extra works. Let’s stay alert!
