Many visitors coming to London Heritage Farm for a tour today had a great time and good surprise to find some rare classics and collectibles sports cars displaying on the historic site under beautiful weather. Among the many sports cars in the show were a 1959 Messerschmitt KR200, a 1965 Shelby Cobra, a 1971 Lotus Super 7, a 1974 Aston Martin Lagonda, a cute 1965 Fiat 500R and a 1956 Chevy Bel Air. Big thanks to our member Tony Whitney for putting together this very special car show.
On Sunday, June 26th, 2016, London Heritage Farm is hosting a classics and collectibles car show. There is no car make or time frame theme – it will be an eclectic show with a wide variety of models to see. Cars will be displayed from 11 am until 3 pm.
This is an informal event, a great chance to spend an afternoon on a beautiful section of the Fraser and enjoy the locale and (hopefully) some sunny weather. The heritage site setting is perfect for displaying and photographing fine cars.
To all members, volunteers, patrons and friends of London Heritage Farm, you are invited to Doors Open Richmond 2016’s Kickoff at Minoru Chapel, 6540 Gilbert Road on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm. The official opening ceremony will begin at 6 pm. It will be a free event with live performances, children’s crafts and activities in a wedding garden party atmosphere.
As a participating site of Doors Open Richmond, we also invite you to visit the historic site of London Heritage Farm on the following Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be free guided tours of the Farmhouse. The Small Hand Tools Museum in the Spraggs Family Barn will be open for free viewing. Weather is going to be lovely this coming Mother’s Day weekend and is just great for our 10th Annual Plant Sale which will be held outdoor at London Heritage Farm on Saturday and Sunday, May 7th & 8th, 2016 from 10 am to 5 pm. Over the years, the London Heritage Farm’s Annual Plant Sale has become a tradition that the gardening community will look forward to every year. Most single plants put up for sale in this event come from our own perennial garden, greenhouse and nursery. There will be a good selection of perennials, annuals, herbs, hanging baskets, tomato seedlings and succulent arrangements. Each child will receive a free surprise plant at checkout and everyone can enter the daily draw for a chance to win a beautiful hanging basket.
If you are planning to bring mom and families for the Mother’s Day Tea at the Tea Room which will be open the same weekend from 12 to 5 pm, please be sure to make your reservation now as there has already been a lot of advanced bookings.
