Our Tea Room, Gift Shop and Museum will re-open to the public from 12 to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays starting February 3rd. Please join us for a Scottish Tea on February 3rd and February 4th in celebration of London Heritage Farm’s Scottish roots.
Mrs. Henrietta London (Nee Greirson Dalziel) was born on April 15th, 1870 in Dalbeattie, Scotland. The Dalziel clans motto is I DARE Henrietta was indeed daring, she emigrated to Canada in 1886 at the tender age of sixteen; Henrietta lived for a short while in New Westminster, BC prior to her marriage in 1888 to Charles London. Charles and Henrietta London sponsored Henrietta’s mother, sisters and brother to come and live in Canada soon after their marriage. Henrietta kept many of her Sottish traditions one of her favourites was Hogmanay (New Year’s Eve). She was a devout Presbyterian and held women’s circles and Sunday Mass in this house.
