When celebrating Canada 150 anniversary on July 1, 2017, we are also proud to have kept London Heritage Farm as a part of Canadian history for over 119 years. A special thanks to all those who have donated in the past and present; money, time and their talent to keep the integrity and heritage of this lovely place to visit.
If you are joining the big Canada 150 Celebration in the Steveston area, please drop by London Farm. Tour the house to have a glimpse into the history of London Family, as one of the pioneer farming families of Richmond BC in Canada. Stroll along the lovely Heritage Gardens, have a Full Tea in the historical Tea Room and take home some Canadian made gifts for friends and family. What a nice way to complete your Canada 150 celebration to the fullest.
Happy Canada 150!
Newly added to the shelves in our Gift Shop are some jarred homemade Jan’s Party Pickles, Apple Chutney (mild) and Mixed Mustard Pickles (spicy). Thanks again to Sue, our member/volunteer who handmade these savory preserves at London Heritage Farm’s Kitchen. Sue has even tested these preserves at “FoodAssure” lab and the result of that is they were all an excellent pH for safety. Summer is here and these savory preserves are just great for parties either as condiment in meals or as gift to hosts! Come and shop at our Gift Shop this coming weekend. Our Gift Shop is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5 pm. Starting July 5, 2017, Summer Hours will kick in and we are open every Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 5 pm.
